The Introduction to Data Literacy for Educators is the first of a set of three badges created to introduce educators to data literacy. The other badges in this series are: Badge 2: Data Visualization for Educators and Badge 3: Data Analysis and Interpretation for Educators. Earning Criteria

Educators will have practical data literacy instructional tools to use with students in an in-person and/or distance learning setting. Learners will have tools such as lessons, resources and learning activities in order for them to practice data literacy with their students. This badge will help develop data-literate learners who can "collect, organize, visualize, interpret, analyze, and share data for themselves and other people to use and understand," (Dataspire, January 26, 2022).
