Navigating Texts Across Disciplines
Educators who earn this professional development micro-credential digital badge will be able to define disciplinary literacy; recognize similarities and/or differences in the literacy characteristics, demands, and/or strategies across disciplinary texts; appropriately select reading approaches/strategies based on disciplinary literacy demands; and develop an awareness of the literacy “cues” within disciplines and identify ways to support students in strengthening their reading.

Earning Criteria
