This one-year co-curricular micro-credential is offered by the College of Business exclusively for its students with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Its main objective is to empower them with tools to analyze and evaluate their brand by identifying strengths and areas for improvement while developing a strategy to communicate to potential employers and industry contacts. Training on professional etiquette for business contexts, including formal and social events and digital communications, is provided.

Earning Criteria

To apply and register for this one-year micro-credential, students must be enrolled in the College of Business and have a 3.0 GPA. This micro-credential is free but there might be additional costs associated with participating in the events that are the responsibility of the student. As part of the requirements, students must attend four (4) signature events hosted by the College of Business. These events are (1)Dress for Success, (2) Branding for Success, (3) Meet the Firms, and (4) Etiquette Dinner.

Additional requirements to earn this micro-credential include complying with three( 3) of the following: (1) Attending an Internship Fair; (2) Becoming a member of a College of Business student organization; (3) Attending any College of Business speaker event; (4 )Attending any JNIWL speaker event; (5) Assuming a leadership position in any student organization.

To earn this micro-credential, students must demonstrate evidence of attendance at the events. In addition, once they've participated and completed all the required events, they must submit a reflective essay showcasing what they've gained by participating in the activities and obtain a minimum score of 70%. Specific guidelines and scoring rubric will be provided to the students.

Upon completing this micro-credential, the student will be able to analyze and evaluate their personal brand to develop a compelling strategy that communicates their unique value. Also, apply networking techniques to build and maintain meaningful relationships with industry professionals. Finally, demonstrate professional etiquette in various business contexts, including meetings, events, and digital communications, ensuring confident and respectful interactions.
