API Power UP Video Challenge Winner - Judges Award

Earners have demonstrated talent in communicating stories about careers in the Australian power sector in an engaging and interesting manner, based on their experience working as an undergraduate student in a summer work placement with an API member organisation. They can reflect on their experiences and achievements, articulate intersting and inspiring stories about their experience, and create compelling video presentations.

Earning Criteria

Complete a work experience placement of at least 5 weeks as part of their university course on a topic relevant to the Australian power sector, at an employer organisation that is a member of the Australian Power Institute (in the past 12 months).
Create a 3-5 minute recording, speaking to the camera or narrating slides/photos, that covers: (a) What did you do during your placement? Tell us about the project(s) you worked on. (b) What did you learn from the experience? (c) Why are you excited about a career in the power sector? Upload the video to YouTube and share the link with the API, who will then make the video available as part of the national Power UP Video Challenge with 30+ other student videos each year.
Be selected as the Overall Winner for the Best Video Presentation by a panel of judges composed of staff of the Australian Power Institute and our member organisations, and previous winners and finalists of the Power UP Video Challenge.
