The Direct Service Worker helps the person supported manage the personal, financial, and household tasks necessary on a day-to-day basis to pursue an independent lifestyle. The earner works with the person to identify strengths and goals for community living, advocates to adapt the support plan, and provides support accordingly; facilitates the person’s participation in the community; monitors the person’s progress and outcomes; recognizes best practices and regulations regarding safety.
