Emerging Leaders: Foundational
This transformational leadership program is designed for people entering, or curious about moving towards, a leadership role in The Salvation Army. These cohorts are built for officers and employees from across the Territory at various points on their leadership journeys. Working together in groups, and individually, this virtual and in-person program focuses on your development as a leader within the contexts of your Ministry Unit, your community, and The Salvation Army in Canada and Bermuda.

This 18-month program begins with content-driven virtual seminars, accompanied by independent research and group analysis. Ongoing virtual learning sessions provide space for connection, clarification, and the exploration of ideas. Participants will work in small groups to discuss and analyze their research findings, followed by an opportunity to share their discoveries with the full cohort and facilitate focused discussions.

Participants will go through the process of receiving feedback through a LEADS 360 assessment. This process allows participants to receive meaningful, structured, anonymous feedback from peers, direct and indirect reports, and supervisors. Coaching sessions will help participants contextualize and apply this feedback to increase their self-awareness and self-confidence, ultimately strengthening their leadership capabilities.
