Foundational Leadership Certification

Issued by Leadership Development | The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda

Earners of this badge learn essential leadership skills like providing feedback, EDJI awareness, working through difficult interactions, and taking a coaching approach to leadership. Participants will complete six Harvard ManageMentor® courses, create and implement On-The-Job Action Plans, and collaborate with other leaders from The Salvation Army through online workshops. This self-directed program takes between 1-3 years to complete.

Earning Criteria

Complete 6 Harvard ManageMentor® courses: Leading People, Difficult Interactions, Coaching, Feedback Essentials, Performance Appraisal, and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.
Complete an assessment at the end of each course to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of leadership best practices
Participate in 3 interactive online Leadership Café Workshops on a variety of topics (90 min. each)
Create and implement 6 On-The-Job Action Plans (one for each course)
