Pathway Experience Preparation (PEP) is an online, non-credit 8-week professional development program designed to allow students to learn about opportunities within their field of study, and how to apply career competency knowledge to get the most out of their experience.

Earning Criteria

Learn about different pathways within their major by researching online university tools and reflecting on their research through a written submission
Learn how to conduct basic company research and prepare for experiences by using guided questions and applying the knowledge gained to find ideal opportunities
Engage in a virtual or in person networking event.
Develop a starter resume after watching a resume workshop video from the university Career Services office
Learn about the 8 career competencies from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and complete written exercises that show understanding of each competency.
Create a starter/projected portfolio that includes materials students can currently include or should be able to include from classes or experience.
