Project Management Essentials

Project Management Essentials is a course within the Development Management Programme. This course provides the basics for project managers by introducing essential project management concepts and methods. Through lecturers, discussion, in-class activities, group work, presentations, readings, the use of computers for MS Project and real world examples, participants learn how to identify project components, organise them effectively and control the project from inception to implementation.

Earning Criteria

Participants must have completed the prerequisite courses within the Development Management Programme. Development Management is a CPE Programme curated by The UWI Open Campus in collaboration with the Climate Resilience Execution Agency in Dominica (CREAD) to up-skill public sector officials in Dominica with the capacity to effectively manage projects and services that address the development needs of the country of Dominica.
