Earners of this badge have acquired the knowledge of basic British Sign Language (BSL) greetings. This knowledge will prepare them to communicate basic greetings with others and give them a foundation to pursue more signs under the Level 1 British Sign Language criteria, should they wish to continue learning beyond this badge. Understanding basic BSL greetings enables the development of effective communication skills with the deaf community.
