Learners have been assessed and passed a range of items including: Demonstrate, instruct, and monitor static stretching; Apply basic anatomy knowledge to the performance of sports skills; Demonstrate knowledge of basic skills and rules at a beginner level for a sport; Participate in group/team that has an objective; Describe benefits of participation in recreation in the local community; Plan and run a recreation activity.
Standards
People credited with this unit standard are able to: ensure stretches can be demonstrated safely; demonstrate and instruct safe static stretching techniques using ACC SportSmart stretch posters; and monitor and improve the performance of static stretching by exercise participants.
People credited with this unit standard are able to describe: the structure and function of the skeletal system, synovial joints, and muscular system in the human body; and how skeletal muscles work together to produce movement at the major joints involved in the performance of a complex sports skill.
This unit standard is for people working in a poultry production context. People credited with this unit standard are able to: catch, pick up, carry, and hold poultry, and present for husbandry procedures; and place poultry into and remove from containers and/or housing systems.
People credited with this unit standard are able to communicate in a team or group which has an objective.
People credited with this unit standard are able to describe: individual and community benefits of participation in recreation in the local community; and recreation activities available in the local community.
