• LXF 1 | Introduction to 2U's Learning Experience Framework - 2U’s new Learning Experience Framework (LXF) is a collection of research-based principles about how people learn that we use to guide our partners in developing world-class online education.  Join leaders of 2U's strategy and training teams to learn more about the LXF, how we use it in our work, and how you can apply the principles in your digital classroom.
• LXF 2 | Clarity, Consistency, and Creative Challenges in the Classroom -  Instructional alignment between asynchronous coursework and synchronous live sessions is key to ensuring students’ contextual learning and deep thinking activities. In this seminar participants will learn best practices and strategies that align course objectives to authentic student engagement, student decision making, and expert thinking.
• LXF 3 | Scaffolding Knowledge and Practice for Student Success - Learning is a constant process of scaffolding ideas. The ability to guide students through this process from foundations to mastery, without overwhelming them, is key to quality instruction. This seminar will uncover the learning science behind the concepts of cognitive load and leveraging prior knowledge, while also creating challenging and deliberate practice opportunities for students.
• LXF 4 | How Motivation, Mindsets, and Goals Affect Student Learning - How a learner feels impacts their engagement with the learning process. In this seminar we will examine the principles of "FEEL" by discussing students' intrinsic motivation, self-regulated learning, and learning goals & mindsets, plus explore how to apply these principles during your live sessions.
• LXF 5 | Leaning on Your Audience to Enhance Their Learning - In addition to the expertise you bring to class, students are often co-creating knowledge and content for the course.  In this seminar we will dive into the teaching tactics, backed by learning science, that will help you lean on your audience to facilitate social learning, formative feedback, and metacognition opportunities for the classroom.
• LXF 6 | Leveling-up Your Teaching: Leveraging Complexity, Modality, and Storytelling - In this seminar you will learn how to best apply Learning Science theories to create more engaging classroom experiences that promote deeper learning and retention. Join us as we dive into utilizing the theories of Complexity, Modality, and Storytelling in the digital classroom.
