Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Issued by
UC San Diego Extended Studies
The Earner has demonstrated the knowledge and skills needed to design a successful Lean Six Sigma Green Belt project by following the DMAIC process and leveraging lean methodologies of eliminating waste. The project was based on an actual workplace process that was projected to save at least $40k in hard savings upon implementation of the solution. Earners receive 40 educational hours of training equaling 4 Continuing Education Units (CEU).

-
Measure: Earner created a process data collection plan by selecting measures, planning for data collection, and collected data to build baseline graphs.
-
Analyze: Earner created fishbone diagram and hypothesis statement by conducting process and data analysis, and then brainstorm and validating root causes of process problems.
-
Improve: Earner created a solution selection matrix that filters and determine solutions to process problems and then mitigated the risks of process change. Built a storyboard for the project.
-
