UX professionals who completed this program can implement visual and user experience design principles and the iterative and user-centered design process with the spiral model to develop compelling user experiences. They can create effective user interfaces for mobile devices and products that incorporate wearable technology, prototyping tools, user research and heuristic evaluation, and use HTML, CSS or JavaScript to prototype websites or single page web applications.

Earning Criteria

Completed six core courses: Designing with Cascading Style Sheets: Advanced; HTML5 Advanced and Javascript APIs; and Visual Design for Digital Media; either Mobile Interface Design and Gen AI or User Experience Design Fundamentals; as well as at least two electives. Earned at least 17 units. Met all requirements for a UCSC Silicon Valley Certificate in User Experience and Web Design.
