McNair Conference Presenter 2021

The 29th Annual McNair Research Conference was held on September 17th and 18th. Attendees gathered to network with and be inspired by fellow National McNair participants, connect with representatives from McNair-friendly graduate programs, and present their research, making lasting connections with those with similar research interests. The conference provides opportunities that increase the attainment of research-based doctoral degrees by students from historically excluded segments of society

Earning Criteria

Presenters submitted an abstract describing their research. They also presented their own slide(s) using Zoom platform. Poster Presentations occurred in one-hour sessions with 6 scholars presenting per session. Poster presentations were uploaded to the conference website prior to the session. Poster presenters made 5-minute presentations with 3 additional minutes for Q&A. Oral Presentations occurred in 20-minute increments; presentations were 12-minutes each with 3 additional minutes for Q&A.
Presenters completed Pre and Post self-reflections focused on their goals towards a successful and worthwhile conference experience.
