The ASB IPE Series at UMMC is a program of presentations/panels focused on instilling the value of team-based patient care, which requires true collaboration and interprofessionalism among all health care professions, even those not directly involved in patient care, represented on the UMMC campus. Earning Criteria

  • Earners must attend the panel discussion on Interprofessional Volunteerism and Competency: Roles and Responsibilities for Collaborative Practice Objectives. Learning objectives include: Identify strengths and challenges of interprofessional collaboration in a student-run free clinic; Determine ways that interprofessional collaboration helps serve the underserved populations; Reflect on the roles of students in fostering a collaborative interprofessional environment in clinical practices.
  • Earners must respond to a reflection assignment regarding what ways we can, working in health care teams, serve underserved populations. Response must include the learner's own personal role in this responsibility. Score of 100 % is required to earn the credential.
