The ASB IPE Series at UMMC is a program of presentations/panels focused on instilling the value of team-based patient care, which requires true collaboration and interprofessionalism among all health care professions, even those not directly involved in patient care, represented on the UMMC campus. Each session focuses on addressing Interprofessional Education Competencies.

Earners must attend the panel discussion on Interprofessional Strategies for Preventing and Treating Burnout. This session relates to the Values and Ethics competency. Learning objectives include: Identify individual and systemic causes of burnout; Explain ways interprofessional teams may work together to prevent burnout; Explain ways interprofessional team members may facilitate the treatment of burnout in peers.

Earners must respond to a reflection assignment regarding what ways we can, working in health care teams, address provider burnout that is so prevalent. Response must include the learner's own personal role in this responsibility. Score of 100 % is required to earn the credential.
