The badge earner completed participation in the UNC Diplomacy Initiative's Washington Week by engaging in activities and developing knowledge of international policy making, federal affairs, diplomatic missions, and cultural diplomacy. The badge earner enhanced their understanding of global trends, topics, and issues. Students gained familiarity with the global landscape of D.C. and instilled confidence in seeing themselves the role of effective leaders and global problem solvers.

Completed multiday trip to Washington, D.C. Engaged in organized sessions such as panel discussions, site visits, and learning from foreign affairs practitioners. Participated in pre-trip orientations and career coaching sessions. Completed written or video reflection on experience and how it will shape the student’s worldview. Completed assigned reading/exercise related to experience to prepare for discussion with hosts in Washington. Completed post-trip survey.
