Earning Criteria

Students earning the Community Engagement credential have completed the following: 20 hours of community engagement in the greater Charlotte community, five online learning modules and related reflections (Charlotte Overview, Civic Identity, Intercultural Competency, Entrepreneurial Thinking, and Community-Based Research), an approved semester-long community engagement project, and documentation of this project in our e-portfolio system
Standards
Projects and reflections are assessed by urbanCORE using the BONNER PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES RUBRIC * (drawing on rubrics developed and piloted by AAC&U and the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education while adapted to fit the four-year developmental structure of the Bonner Program).
