Earning Criteria

Describe characteristics of Multilingual Learners (ML) and principles of language development. The learning activities for this competency include: Review content related to getting to know Multilingual learners (readings, videos, images, audio) and review content to related to language development. (readings, videos, images, audio). Complete a Self-check and one activity from the Task Choice Board
Describe teaching techniques to Create a learning plan based on best instructional practices for Multilingual students. The learning activities for this competency include: 1) Review content related to instructional practices (readings, videos, images, audio). 2) Complete a Self-check. 3) Pick an ELL profile. Write a lesson/create a learning experience for that student. Final Assessment includes a lesson plan/learning experience around key features of learning
It is important that you can identify and evaluate effective instruction for multilingual learners. Learning activities for this competency: you will watch a video/s and use the evaluation sheet to analyze the instruction that you have observed.
It is important that you can take the information that you have learned and apply it to your context. For this assignment you will be asked to create a toolkit that you can use with your ML learners.
