1) Select appropriate elicitation techniques on own. 2) Prepare supporting materials to convey information and elicit requirements: (Activity Diagrams, Process Flows, Conceptual Diagrams, Use Cases, B2Bs, Requirement Matrixes). (CONTINUED)

3) Prepare stakeholders in advance of elicitation sessions to ensure activities run smoothly and everyone works toward a common goal using methods such as: gaining agreement for required stakeholder commitments, monitoring stakeholder engagement and collaboration, demonstrating collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. 4) Organize activities and manage time efficiently to consistently adhere to commitments and changing priorities. 5) Use common elicitation techniques (Brainstorming, Document Analysis, Interviewing, Requirement Gathering Sessions, Scenario Analysis). 6) Control elicitation sessions to elicit information relevant to the change. 7) Adapt verbal and non-verbal communication style to the needs of the situation and the individual. 8) Use active listening and discovery skills to understand “real” issues/needs and build rapport.
