Earners of this microcredential have mastered the fundamentals of information technology and possess essential skills that employers are seeking in professionals across a broad range of information environments. Earners participated in three modules presenting graduate-level instruction in topics, such as Python or R, relational databases, data visualization, and networking protocols. Skills were applied to an experiential capstone project focusing on advanced programming and web technologies.

To earn the microcredential, students must complete at least 3 of the 4 modules and submit an experiential learning capstone project based on one or more of the modules offered in Informatics (INF 523) by the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity.
