Earners developed leadership skills to engage in systemic improvement initiatives in education and other social sector organizations. Improvement Science, championed by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, has emerged as an evidenced-based process for affecting positive and lasting change. Participants can effectively use improvement tools and processes to address root causes of sub-optimal outcomes for students and identify drivers for improvement.

Earners participated in six interactive improvement science workshops focusing on inquiry, data analysis, and program evaluation. Participants developed a pilot project addressing a specific problem of practice at their current organization, utilizing skills obtained through the program.
