This academy focuses on preparing faculty to effectively lead, evaluate and facilitate a high-quality online course through the use of research-based evaluation tools for quality and creation of a community of inquiry to improve student success.

Earning Criteria

Participants will submit a self-score (or peer review) of their course utilizing the Open SUNY OSCQR rubric. The OSCQR Rubric consists of 50 items suggested to include in their online course design.

Participants will submit an action plan for improvement to their course based on the OSCQR Rubric. This can be done on OSCQR rubric or alternative action plan template.

Participants will submit a reflection with guiding questions. Participants are asked to created a reflection of their online course building experience. The reflection can be submitted as a video or written format to be reviewed by a Learning Designer.
