Students enrolled in a UAF COMM GenEd class (121X, 131X, or 141X) developed two informative speeches including two outlines demonstrating an understanding of required elements, writing an original speech, revising based on feedback, & delivering the speech to a live audience OR a speech recording. Speeches are then reviewed to demonstrate an understanding of eight core competencies.

Students apply the principles of audience analysis to the development and presentation of their speech.
Standards
The student must complete two outlines demonstrating an understanding of the required elements of an informative speech including the intro, body, and conclusion. As well as deliver two informative speeches with a score of 70 or above and complete the course with a C- grade or higher.
