Earners of the Raspberry Pi and Cloud Web Interface badge have completed UCO's CMSC 4313/5313 Internet of Things course. The course studies the ‘things’ that make up the Internet of Things (loT). The topics include what these ‘things’ are, how they are connected, how they communicate with cloud services, how the large set of data collected at IoT can be stored in the cloud storage, and how such data can be utilized. Security and privacy issues on IoT are also examined.

  • Install and configure an operating system on the Raspberry Pi single-board computer.
  • Write application programs for a single-board computer, including the interface programs to use controllers and sensors attached to the single-board computer.
  • Use a cloud services to monitor and control the single-board computer.
  • Explain the security and privacy issues in Internet of Things environment.
  • Develop programs for both Raspberry Pi single board computer and cloud web app interface.
