Teaching Forensic Science in Secondary Education

Earners of this badge completed a 4-day training conducted by UCO’s Forensic Science Institute faculty. Its focus is on the correct execution and application of forensic science techniques. Forensic Science disciplines included in the training are crime scene processing, latent print collection, fingerprint comparison techniques, blood stain pattern analysis, forensic chemistry, DNA analysis, digital forensics, and forensic anthropology.

Recognize different forensic science disciplines and their applications in criminal investigations.

Correctly teach secondary education students to perform forensic science labs and techniques taught in the training in the areas of crime scene processing, firearms and toolmarks examination, fingerprint processing and analysis, blood stain pattern analysis, forensic chemistry, forensic serology, DNA analysis, digital forensics, forensic anthropology, and wildlife forensics.
