Principles of College Teaching

The Center for Teaching & Learning’s Principles of College Teaching (PCT) micro-credential offers graduate student instructors, postdoctoral scholars, faculty and staff the opportunity to enhance their teaching skills at the post-secondary level. Participants attend foundational pedagogy training and produce artifacts which may be assessed by prospective employers. The PCT micro-credential gives graduate students at CU Boulder a leg up in the academic job market.

Earning Criteria

Participating in 10 Center for Teaching & Learning approved workshops/trainings. Any CTL offering may count towards one hour of the 10 required. When registering and attending events, participants will be given credit. Workshop participation is logged and checked by CTL staff.

Submission of three Teacher Reflections based on themes and ideas from at least three workshops attended.

Exit interview with CTL Staff to discuss the process.
