Workplace Skills for Student Employees - Communication

One of three badges in the Workplace Skills for Student Employees stackable micro-credential, this badge asserts an employee understands and utilizes the different components of communication, including tone and word choice to communicate effectively to constituents in various situations. Assessed competencies include active listening, emotional intelligence, de-escalation and conflict resolution, critical thinking and problem solving.

Earning Criteria

Earners must meet a minimum of 16 weeks of employment and work at least 7 hours per week, on average.
In order to earn the micro-credential, the student worker must earn a score of "Exceeding Expectations" on their performance evaluation in the competencies listed in the rubric.
Employee must submit an artifact on what was learned and acquired during employment and how it will be applied to future employment.
