Teaching Enhancement Badge Program

The Teaching Enhancement Badge Program provides opportunities to research and apply innovative teaching strategies or practices to one’s own teaching. Faculty can explore effective pedagogical techniques and collaborate with colleagues to discuss student retention, engagement, and teaching to a new generation of students. Annually, faculty can create a Teaching Enhancement Plan that focuses on teaching goals and special interest tracks toward the completion of a digital badge.

Earning Criteria

Creation of a Teaching Enhancement Plan to remain current in the subject area and profession of teaching that includes teaching goals, professional development plan related to a Special Interest Track, and implementation plan.

Participation in at least three professional development activities (for up to a total of 24 hours) that support your teaching goals with the submission of at least three self-reflection on what you learned and how you can apply it in a specific course you teach.

Satisfactory completion of a teaching toolbox of 3-5 interactions, activities, and assignments that address your Teaching Enhancement Plan as part of the Teaching Capstone with the achievement of greater than 85% of total points.

Satisfactory completion of a campus presentation as part of the Teaching Capstone with the achievement of greater than 85% of total points.
