Earning Criteria

  • BUS 4540 Data Management: Students must earn a minimum of 80% or B- final grade and complete all assignments.
  • BUS 4540 Assessment: Includes completing structured worksheets throughout the class (i.e. answering comprehensive prompts) that lead to a data collection final project which will be used to support learning objectives. Detailed rubrics are provided to set expectations and evaluation components, and to assess student's performance and competency.
  • BUS 4530 Data Visualization: BUS 4540 is a prerequisite. Students must earn a minimum of 80% or B- final grade and complete all assignments.
  • BUS 4530 Assessment: Includes completing deliverables in staggered, sequential, and progressive phases. The final deliverable is a detailed report on descriptive analytics using visual representations (i.e. charts, graphs, maps, tables). Visualizations explore using data to answer descriptive business questions. Detailed rubrics are provided to set expectations and evaluation components, and to assess student's performance and competency.
  • BUS 4535 Data Analytics: BUS 4530 is a prerequisite. Students must earn a minimum of 80% or B- final grade and complete all assignments.
  • BUS 4535 Assessment: Includes completing deliverables in staggered, sequential, and progressive phases. The final deliverable is a detailed report on predictive, prescriptive, and autonomous analytics using visual representations (i.e. charts, graphs, maps, tables). Visualizations explore using data to answer predictive, prescriptive, and autonomous business questions.   • Micro-credential Project: Students will compile interactive data visualization dashboards relevant to the outdoors recreation industry. Data collection and visualization artifacts from each of the three courses will be the building blocks of this final artifact.
