This workshop helps instructors strategize ways to build an online environment where students feel safe, respected, and comfortable enough to collaborate and learn. Participants develop tools for communicating effectively with students and facilitating positive interactions among members of their online courses with additional tips for in-person class meetings. Topics include creating a sense of safety and community, organizing successful group work, and responding to inappropriate behavior.
