Registered Behavior Technician
The badge earner has demonstrated the foundational skills to help in the delivery of behavior analysis services and operate in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Behavior Technicians help board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) conduct ABA therapy for adults and children with behavioral and developmental issues, the most prevalent of which is autism.

Earning Criteria

Participants are required to complete the training requirements to become an RBT: completion of 40 hours of RBT training by a BACB-certified instructor and completion of a Competency Assessment.

This course fulfills the state mandate that behavior technicians have the training to earn the Registered Behavior Technician credential for individuals as paraprofessionals to directly implement ABA services for children with autism.
