The Visual Storytelling (Video Production for Transmedia) course is designed to familiarize students with single-camera digital video production and editing. Students will learn the technology, art and practices involved in effective visual storytelling. By the completion of this course students will have a foundational understanding of, and practical experience in writing, producing, directing, shooting, and editing digital motion media both live action and graphical.

Earning Criteria

Complete 12 weeks of online instruction; Conceive and write story treatments; Adapt treatments to script form; Organize crews and assign duties; Scout and secure production locations; Design and light sets; Shoot scenes from script; Work with green-screen special effects; Capture content to computer; Edit content in Adobe Premiere; Output and deliver finished production
