The Lincoln Award is the University of Lincoln's employability framework, designed to support students to develop and learn how to demonstrate employability skills. Based on student feedback and employer insight, this pathway supports students to take their learning to the next level, maximising preparation for the labour market and the workplace. Students develop experience and skills to utilise throughout their career and vital tools to enable reflection, development, and lifelong learning.

Earning Criteria

Complete a Strengths profile and undertake reflection and discussion for career planning.

Develop commercial awareness through experiential learning. Undertake a course of combined online learning and project work before receiving feedback from an industry mentor.

Develop digital skills by undertaking 5 hours of online learning on a relevant topic. This is followed by reflection.

Attend a series of 7 training sessions focussing on life skills for early career and life long learning.

Deliver a 10 minute presentation on learning throughout the programme and engage in a reflective discussion. Students receive a feedback summary sheet after the event detailing their score, strengths, and development areas. Students must meet the pass mark to complete the award.
