The Lincoln Award- Teaching pathway

The Lincoln Award Teaching scheme is coordinated by Careers & Employability in partnership with local teaching providers. The scheme is a pathway through the University of Lincoln's employability framework, designed to support students to develop and learn how to demonstrate employability skills. As well as completing an internship in a school, students are introduced to a variety of activities to develop their skills and supported to reflect on their experiences to prepare for their future.

Earning Criteria

Complete a skills assessment based on the graduate labour market and use the results to inform activity choices and produce an action plan.

Attend relevant preparation training for entering a teaching environment.

Complete an internship in a local school, working closely with a mentor.

Attend various industry and skills focused workshops, events and training delivered by careers staff, employers or external facilitators.

Participate in a group reflection session to reflect on experiences and the skills developed.

Complete a group presentation assessment to meet the pass criteria to achieve the award.
