Earners of the Brewing Science badge have a fundamental understanding of the chemistry, biochemistry and microbiology underpinning the production of malted grains, fermentation, and packaging and distribution of brewed products. They will have knowledge of the origin and production of different styles of beer. They will be able to apply their knowledge to hobby home brewing and to the production of beer at the commercial scale.
