The Community Building Institute prepares early-career public professionals, and aspiring changemakers of all kinds, to address community needs in a responsible, equitable, and inclusive manner by centering the voices of community stakeholders. The focus areas of the series are community assessment, stakeholder engagement, advisory group formation, strategic planning and implementation, and program evaluation. The Community Building Institute is offered annually by Montana Campus Compact.

Earning Criteria

Badge recipients are assessed based on their engagement with the topics of the Community Building Cycle through brief reflective writing assignments.

Badge recipients will have participated in the six classes of the Community Building Institute.

Badge recipients will have paid a registration fee to attend the Community Building Institute, or they will have had that fee waived under certain circumstances.

Badge recipients will have registered to attend the Community Building Institute.
