Ethics in Research and Scholarship

This is an interdisciplinary graduate seminar where students explore a wide range of issues related to the ethical conduct of research and scholarship. This course helps prepare students to conduct themselves as researchers in accordance with today’s standards and practices for scientific integrity and professional ethics. Classes are predominantly discussion-based, relying on case analysis; guest speakers address topics from a variety of perspectives.

Completion of this course meets the UNH Graduate School’s incoming PhD student Responsible Conduct of Research training requirement as well as the National Science Foundation's and the US Department of Agriculture's National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s Responsible Conduct of Research training requirement.
