Participants learn how supervision is used in mentoring, various models of and strategies for supervision, and how to ensure success for the mentee, mentor, and program manager. Participants develop skills in mentor/mentee assessment and program improvement, how to apply The 7-Eyed Model of Supervision to mentees in varying fields of study, and how to engage in reflective practice during mentoring. Earning Criteria

Submit portfolio of evidence demonstrating advanced mentoring skills after completing at least 80% of a three 16-hour synchronous courses that includes 24 hours of skills demonstration assignments. Skills are using the 7-Eyed Model of Supervision, ensuring and evaluating program success, and engaging in reflective practice. The Portfolio describes one's action plan for mentoring best outcomes for mentors and program managers.
