Addressing Concerning or Disruptive Student Behavior

Participants will engage in an interactive session that will address challenging scenarios that faculty and staff face every semester. The goal of the session is to increase awareness to resources and services available for faculty, staff, and students. The session also is intended to provide guidance to faculty and staff regarding options and techniques that they may utilize when dealing with difficult situations and/or students.

The badge earner attended this one-hour session via Zoom.
The badge earner learned intervention and referral techniques from Thomas Solem, Director of the University Counseling Center and Sara Kaiser, Director of the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities and Disability Services for Students.
The badge earner learned which office to contact and which resources to use in a variety of situations with students.
