Blackboard: Tests

Earners have attended and participated in a 60 minute workshop, demonstrating the process of building, deploying and viewing tests directly within Blackboard. Respondus, a tool to convert existing Word files into Blackboard tests, was shown. A variety of question types and options were identified including steps to create question blocks from pools. Steps to deploy a test were reviewed with appropriate feedback and settings. Viewing and grading test submissions was demonstrated.

Earning Criteria

Attend a 60 minute workshop to view and participate in a demonstration of creating Blackboard tests.

Identify the steps to create a Blackboard test using various question types, including feedback options.

Identify the steps to use Respondus to convert existing (formatted) Word files into Blackboard tests.

Identify steps to copy and share tests from other Blackboard courses to reuse questions and create pools. Compare and contrast appropriate use of question sets and blocks.

Identify steps to deploy the test using appropriate settings (availability, time limits, force complete, passwords, exceptions, feedback, and more).

Review process to View and grade test submissions.
