Earning Criteria

• The badge earner participated in a 60-minute faculty workshop on Universal Design for Learning.
• The badge earner practiced how to make interactions and documents more accessible – not just for people with disabilities, but for learners who are using the time, devices, and methods that their circumstances often dictate.
• The badge earner crafted an assignment for one of their courses that increases student choices about how they demonstrate their skills, without changing the criteria by which faculty grade the assignment.
• The badge earner learned how to spot (and remove) barriers to learner proficiency that do not apply to what they are actually grading, making it easier for students to focus on what they know, while maintaining the academic rigor of the course.
