Dakota Geriatrics (Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program) online curriculum, called Gerochampion, serves as a working model to provide foundational geriatric competencies to trainees and healthcare professionals from all allied health disciplines. The curriculum covers geriatric competencies defined under the Age Friendly Health Systems framework of Geriatric 4Ms (What Matters, Mentation, Medications and Mobility) and the 5th M of multi-complexity.

Earning Criteria

  • Learning objectives for Level 1 are as follows: (1) Be able to describe biology of aging; (2) Be able to identify assessment and management of falls; (3) Be able to implement geriatric assessments; and (4) Be able to assess and manage delirium and dizziness.
