SMHS Medical Program Interprofessional Collaboration (Level 1: Competency)

For the SMHS medical program class of 2026 and beyond (mandatory): A point system is used to classify interprofessional activities across all phases. These points are aligned across three different levels to earn badges for Interprofessional Collaboration. Phase 1 students must earn 8 points to achieve the Competency level. Phase 2/3 students must earn an additional 2 points for a total of 10 points. Please refer to the criteria for specific information regarding how to earn points.

Earning Criteria

Earn 3 points by completing the Interprofessional Health Care course (IPHC).

Earn 2 points by completing the ROBOTS teleheath simulation.

Earn 1 point by completing the nursing (drug allergy) simulation.

Earn 1 point by completing the PharmD (drug overdose) simulation.

Earn 1 point by completing the PharmD/MD "match day" activity.

Required for Phase 2/3 students only: Earn 2 points by selecting optional IPE/C activities provided by the Office of Interprofessional Education, or by documenting one of the many IPE/C interactions that occur formally or informally during Clinical Education. Please note that similar 1-2 point activities may only be used a maximum of 3 times.
