For the SMHS medical program class of 2026 and beyond (optional): A point system is used to classify interprofessional activities across all phases. These points are aligned across three different levels to earn badges. Phase 2/3 students who choose to pursue deeper expertise in IPE/C can select and document activities, earn 9 additional points after their Expert badge, and achieve the Mastery badge. Please refer to the criteria for specific information regarding how to earn points.

9 points can be achieved by providing proof of either of the following activities. 1) complete the AHEC scholars program, or 2) propose, complete, and document achievement of three 3-point advanced-level student-developed activities. These activities must be pre-approved by the Office of Interprofessional Education.
