Earning Criteria

The Learner must be one of the following: (1) A current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Environmental Science at UTSA with 60 hours or more (2) A current graduate student in Environmental Science at UTSA, or (3) A previous student with an undergraduate or graduate degree in Environmental Science from UTSA. The learner must also fill out a waiver to work in the field.

The learner will complete a Lesson and Exam in Google Classroom and score a grade of 80 or above.

The learner will participate in a field workshop to collect soil cores and must attend the entire workshop.

The learner will describe the soil physical characteristics, interpret characteristics from the Web Soil Survey, and write a soil survey report based on the analyses. The learner will present this information in a form acceptable by the profession.
