Earning Criteria

Certificates are awarded to those that pass assessments (80% or higher) to demonstrate proficient knowledge in history and styles of beer, water chemistry as related to beer, hops, malt, wort biochemistry, fermentation science, brewhouse design, recipe writing, microbiology of beer, sanitation and safety, packaging, quality assurance/quality control, business of craft brewing.

Recipients must also demonstrate competencies (brewhouse operations, cellar, fermentation, sanitation and safety, QA/QC, and understanding of distribution) at a brewery through completion of an internship.
