Fundamentals of Genomics Data Science

Sequencing DNA is no longer the bottleneck, rather, the bottleneck is the computational analysis and the interpretation. Offered by the University of South Florida College of Public Health, this course is designed to serve as an introduction to genomic data science for biologists who do not have a background in bioinformatics. Participants will learn end-to-end training using a friendly GUI, with an introduction to genome, transcriptome, epigenome, and deep/machine learning.

Earning Criteria

Earners of this badge must complete the USF College of Public Health Fundamentals of Genomics Data Science Micro-Certificate online.
Complete knowledge checks after each module to ensure comprehension of critical lesson material. An 80% or above on the final exam.
Certified in Public Health continuing education credit (5 CPH credits).
