Earners of the Ventura College Mechatronics Badge have gained beginning skills in Mechatronics – a system of automated, electro-mechanical machines with PLC or microprocessor control. After successfully completing this badge students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of basic automation, automation safety, PLC purpose, basic PLC programming, PLC motor control, and other PLC functions. They will use advanced manufacturing concepts in a mini automated assembly line to accomplish this.
